You are worthy just as you are.

How I work:

I know what it feels like to struggle with perfectionism, consistently putting others before myself, and have difficulty slowing down. In my practice, I started to see so many people struggling to validate their own challenges because on the outside they looked successful and happy, but inside they felt something was missing, and they were burnt out and exhausted. The more I heard this story from my clients, the more I realized that so many of us are feeling this way, but no one talks about it so we end up feeling like we are the only one.

I am a relational and collaborative therapist, which means I am here to understand you just as you are. Working with me feels like letting out a big sigh when you get home after a long day because you know that you can finally rest and be supported. I am empathic and curious, and listen thoughtfully to really understand what it feels like to be you. I offer compassion, reflection, and feedback to explore your challenges and figure out what can change. I incorporate tools and skills to help you manage whatever you are struggling with, and also work with you to understand the root of the issue and why you keep getting stuck in the first place. I am an engaged and involved therapist who cares deeply about my clients and I am passionate about helping you find relief, grow, and create meaningful and lasting change.

About Me

In my free time you can find me spending time with family and friends, and connecting over food. I love to cook and have a cookbook collection that is currently taking over my kitchen. I also love to read, and curling up with a good book and my dogs is my perfect Sunday afternoon. I really value nature, so I spend a lot of time outside. I love moving my body in joyful ways such as hiking, yoga, and tennis.

I am also passionate about social justice and am an advocate for many movements including Anti-Diet Culture (Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating), Anti-Racism, Intersectional Feminism, and LGBTQ+ Affirmative care, and I am trauma informed.

In addition to my 9 years of experience of clinical work seeing clients, I also provide supervision and consultation to therapists, and am available for consultation and speaking engagements. I have given presentations on the topics of eating disorders, weight stigma, anxiety, relationships, and general mental health. My PhD dissertation research focused on the intersection of eating disorders, weight stigma, and family relationships.
